Mike has been with Accenture since his retirement from Federal service in April, 2002.
At the time of his retirement Mike was the Director, Competitive Sourcing Office for the Department of the Interior.
He served as the Bureau Procurement Chief, Minerals Management Service from February, 1988 to November, 2001. During this time he also served as the Business Manager for the Oil and Gas Royalty-in-Kind Pilot Program and for a period as the Acting Manager of the Offshore Hard Minerals Program. Mike’s work experience includes positions with NASA, Federal Highway Administration, National Cancer Institute, National Park Service, and the US Geological Survey.
He was the recipient of the Department of Interior’s Distinguished and Meritorious Service awards.
Jason Busch Managing Director, Azul Partners

Jason Busch is Founder and Managing Director of Azul Partners, a boutique advisory firm. He is also Editor of the highly trafficked sourcing and supply chain blog www.spendmatters.com and is co-founder of the procurement and supply chain research hub: Spend Matters Navigator. Jason is regarded as one of the leading pundits and thought leaders in the procurement and operations worlds and has worked with hundreds of practitioners and providers to help define and sell next generation products and solutions.
His current research and interest areas include the future of global sourcing, supply risk management, supplier performance management, and the growth of communities of interest and online social networking within the procurement and operations worlds. Previously, he spent five years at FreeMarkets leading a variety of corporate development, marketing, product strategy and sourcing initiatives. He started his career in consulting and finance and holds a graduate degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania. Panelists:
Craig Reed
Vice President Sourcing, MeadWestvaco Consumer Solutions Group
Craig Reed is Vice President; Sourcing for MeadWestvaco’s Consumer Solutions Group, responsible for the procurement and supply management for more than 50 production plants and operations located around the world with annual purchases totaling more than $1.5 Billion dollars. He has more than 12 years experience in supply chain management and strategic sourcing with John Deere, BMW Manufacturing and Honda of America Manufacturing.
Craig is a speaker on the profession of Supply Chain Management and has presented at Universities as well as conferences in the USA and abroad on such topics as “The value of Strategic Sourcing”, Supplier Management and Development and Supplier Diversity. Craig co-authored a chapter in “The Supply Management Handbook” on “Sourcing Servicing Spend” which looks at the value of sourcing non traditional spend categories. He also helped develop a Supply Chain Advisory Board for Clark Atlanta University which just began an undergrad program in Supply Chain Management.
Craig received his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from Florida A&M University and his Masters of Business Administration degree, with a supply chain management concentration, from Arizona State University. Keven Gray
Senior Partner, Group Purchasing Solutions
Keven Gray is a Senior Partner at Group Purchasing Solutions where he leads
partnership development for consortiums across the US. Previously, Keven has
held executive management positions at SupplierOne, MaterialNet and
Corporate United. SupplierOne and MaterialNet were internet marketplace
leaders for engineered parts and materials during the dot.com marketplaces
years of 1998 through 2002. In 2002 Gray took over the reigns of Executive
VP of Development at Corporate United. During his tenure at Corp United,
the Group Purchasing Organization grew from 6 regional members to 120
FORTUNE 1000 members in 2007 to become the dominant player in the purchasing
consortium space in US Business and Industry.
Gray is listed as a "Leading Edge" speaker by the Institute for Supply
Management ("ISM") & has presented at over 75 ISM regional and national
events, seminars and Procurement conferences from 2000-2007. He has been
featured in, as well as authored articles for Inside Supply Management,
Purchasing, Supply & Demand Chain Executive, Supply Chain Management Review
and numerous industry trade journals.
Gray's evangelism for alternative Supply Management models such as consortia
and marketplaces, success as a practitioner and service to the Institute for
Supply Management has earned him recognition as one of the "Top Pros to
Know” by Supply and Demand Chain Executive at both MaterialNet (2001) and
Corporate United (2004).
